Christ’s Haven For Children is a nonprofit organization centered around the core values of Normalcy, Dignity, and Hope. We are located in the north Fort Worth/Keller area and provide a trauma-informed, family model of care for displaced children, teens, and young adults. As a voluntary placement organization, we are an option outside of traditional foster care, often when a caregiver has exhausted all efforts to care for a child. Whether a child needs to live at Christ’s Haven for several months or years, we utilize that time loving them as our own and instilling normalcy, dignity, and hope into their lives.

Residential Program:

Family members are able to place their children with us when they are no longer able to provide appropriate care often due to abuse, neglect, or financial strain. Our goal is to come alongside and provide safety, love, and consistency in the hope that families can become healthy and whole again. They live in our neighborhood of homes with a married couple (houseparents). They are responsible for meeting all of the daily needs – providing food, childcare, medical care, counseling, tutoring, and stability. An essential component of our model of care is children and their houseparents operating as a family unit.

College & Career Readiness Program:

Our College & Career Readiness Program offers an alternative for children who would otherwise age out of the foster care system. The teens and young adults in this program receive individualized case management as they navigate continuing in secondary education, trade school, military, or full-time work.

Life Path Training – Beginning at age 14, teens attend weekly classes utilizing the Casey Family Programs life skills assessment to learn critical life skills like grocery shopping, budgeting, future planning, car maintenance, goal setting, physical & mental health wellness, etc.

Supervised Independent Living – We don’t believe at age 18 anyone should be expected to figure out adulthood on their own. Our Supervised Independent Living program provides a plan for independent living either on or off campus.

This comprehensive program provides the platform for a successful launch into adulthood. All while they gain independence and maturity with someone supporting and cheering them along.

Family Resource Center:

All families go through challenging times. Christ’s Haven’s Family Resource Center was created to stand in the gap for local families in need. Our FRC supports local foster families and local families in need due to economic or mental health challenges. We provide a variety of resources including weekly food boxes, parent education trainings, counseling services, foster family care or crisis services, and individualized case management.
