Central Texas Children’s Home

In 1969, Central Texas Children’s Home, located in Buda, Texas, began as a promise to help troubled children have a second chance. We’ve devoted our efforts to provide a safe haven for boys and girls impacted by trauma, abuse, neglect, abandonment, and selfishness.

We help children and their families learn to adjust, adapt, and overcome the pain of their past. As we teach those in need how to be healthy in the present and prepared to serve in the future, we remind them that God has plans for them.

Central Texas Children’s Home utilizes trauma informed care enables and empowers children and families with an understanding of the impact trauma has made on their lives. This process identifies the unsuccessful behavioral triggers and scripts traumatized individuals have been playing out, then gives them new tools to conquer these triggers, re-write their scripts, and ultimately claim victory over their trauma.

Central Texas Children’s Home

Through God’s providence, Central Texas Children’s Home responds to the cries of those often marginalized. Fully staffed with experienced Christian Child Care Workers, our House Parents impact the lives of young people through the love of the Lord.

Recent renovations to our facilities have illustrated our commitment to providing children with homes that are safe, comfortable, and meet their needs. The children’s home staff address the spiritual lives of children by providing personal Bibles, weekly Bible devotionals, attending Christian camps and additional opportunities to attend church regularly.

Central Texas Children’s Home meets families’ need for education, provides support, guidance, and opportunities to grow a relationship with God through Christ.

We have a mentor program with members of the church community who will be Godly role models and provide relationship support to the children served.

Central Texas Children’s Home has our sights on expanding services to include a foster care program the Fall of 2023.
